Law No. 162 of November 5, 2021 – “Amendments to the code referred to in Legislative Decree No. 198 of April 11, 2006, and other provisions on equal opportunities between men and women in employment.”


The law regulates the Gender Equality Certification System, under the responsibility of the Department of Equal Opportunity, which aims to accompany and incentivize companies to adopt appropriate policies to reduce the gender gap in all the most critical areas, such as opportunities for growth in the company, equal pay for equal tasks and maternity protection. The project has the following components:
- Minimum parameters for obtaining gender equality certification
- Supporting small and medium-sized enterprises and micro enterprises to obtain certification
- Certification information system
- Incentives for businesses
