Access to Employment (A2E) Scheme

Summary:

The Access to Employment (A2E) Scheme, managed by Jobs Plus as the national employment agency, offers support through EU funds to employers for the recruitment of disadvantaged, severely disadvantaged, and disabled persons. Hence, individuals can improve their employability opportunities and access the labour market by getting hands-on experience. Thus, the aim is to bridge the gap and increase the labour supply to meet the demand.

Furthermore, the A2E Scheme, co-financed by the European Social Fund+ (ESF+), the Maltese Government, and employers, falls under Malta’s Operational Programme ‘Fostering the socioeconomic wellbeing of society through the creation of opportunities for all and investment in human resources and skills’ for the 2021-2027 Programming Period.
The first Call of the Scheme was launched on January 24, 2023 and will be open until the end of this year. The Scheme is demand driven, and grants will be granted on a first-come first-served basis and given that, all eligibility criteria have been met. The budget for this scheme is €3 million.
